My Story
I fell in love with Route 66 (now retired) in 2010 at a party. I bought some wax and warmers, but wasn't convinced I could "afford" Scentsy becasue I was a poor college student. I went to a retail store and purchased other wax and warmers. I always loved science experiements (still do) so I tried Scentsy wax with knock off warmers and vice versa. I came to the conclusion that I got longer lasting scent from my Scentsy warmers with scentsy wax without a nasty burning smell.
I continued to use Scentsy wax and warmers and Route 66 scent circles, graduated college and started teaching. If you know a teacher, you know teaching is not a 7am-3pm job. I was also an FFA (Future Farmers of America) advisor. So I was busy, very busy. Along with my typical teaching job and FFA activities my school had a greenhouse that I managed and worked every weekend from March until May. To add to the craziness I was also dating my now husband Brady, I saw him approximately two minutes per week.
My now director, Kimmie, asked me to join in February 2014. I like to be busy, so I was excited to accept the challenge. However, my family, close friends and Brady thought I was crazy. I started to think, "What happens if I am terrible at this?, What will Kimmie think if I fail?, Will it hurt me financially?", "Do I have time for this?". Despite all the doubt, I spent $99 plus tax and shipping.
Fast forward to now, I am still selling Scentsy. Sometimes I sell a lot, sometimes I don't. I earned my first incentive trip and went to Punta Cana June 2016; I love having parties because I love talking and meeting people (and seeing my friends). I make enough money with Scentsy to support my Scentsy habit, my Scentsy business, and seasonal expenses (Christmas, birthdays, etc.). I have had the opportunity to travel across the United States.
Back to my doubtful thoughts... If you have those same thoughts it is normal, but if you don't ever swing you will strike out, so why not try? Join my team, have fun, travel with me, earn money, make new friends and enjoy life!
